ABOUT THE ZINEThis is a non-profit zine that will focus on the pairing between Aphelios and Sett, as well as the characters and their families individually. The zine will be available for digital purchase in September 2023, with physical production to be announced.All contributors must be 18+ to apply and participate. The zine will be SFW and feature content appropriate for all ages, but there will be a digital "After Dark" add-on for an additional cost, which will feature NSFW content.Zine sales will be used to cover the physical manufacturing/shipping costs, but beyond coverage of these expenses, all profits will go to a charity supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, to be confirmed after a discussion/vote with our creators once the server is formed. This means that organizers and contributors will not be financially compensated for their submissions/time, but each participant will receive a physical copy of the zine at no cost to them.ZINE RULESFirst and foremost we aim to cultivate a safe space for zine creators and our audience. There will be a zero tolerance policy towards content, remarks, messages, tweets, etc. that encourage violence, harassment, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, racism and/or ableism. Conduct violating these rules will result in an immediate ban from the discord server and ineligibility to participate in this or future zines.Conversely, we promise to protect our artists, writers and organizers from any harassment/undue negativity/anti commentary that results from their participation in the zine, insofar as that is possible given the nature of the internet. We also believe that what contributors do in their private fictional content outside of the zine is irrelevant, and they will not be expected or required to pass a purity test to participate.All content must be new for the zine, you may not contribute work that has been previously published or posted anywhere.All art and written content is expected to reflect canon ethnicities and genders of champions, SettPhel is an mlm ship and we will not be able to accept any "genderbent" content (please note this does not pertain to content where either Sett and/or Phel are trans men).Finally, while the zine will be focused on ship art, we are also accepting solo champ contributions (i.e. only Sett or only Aphelios) and/or content featuring Alune and Momma, there is space on the application form to indicate what you would like to create for. You can also indicate whether you are or are not comfortable creating content for the NSFW add-on.For people who wish to collaborate with another applicant (e.g. an artist and writer pairing up for a comic) there will be space on the application to indicate your intention to do so, but two separate applications are still required and you will both need to be approved.All contributors will be credited and maintain rights over the content they produce. However, there will be an embargo on publicly sharing any zine content (works in progress, “insider info”) until after the zine has been published, moderators will provide publishing permission and templates at the appropriate time. Failure to comply will result in a warning, repeated violations will result in disqualification from the zine.APPLICANTSImportant Dates

September 2023 - Zine published for saleAll contributors are expected to be available for a minimum of bi-weekly check-ins from April 3 through to July 30, when your finished content will be due. We get that life happens, but repeated failure to meet progress milestones or check-ins will result in disqualification from the zine.All applicants must have a discord account on which they are easily reachable and regularly available in order to participate. A twitter account is highly preferred but not mandatory.Participants from the previous issue of Perihelion are welcome to apply again, but you do not need to have contributed before in order to be accepted.Artists
To apply: must submit at least 3 pieces of visual art (max 10) with at least 2 pieces that feature Sett and/or Aphelios.
If you are accepted: minimum one completely finished piece in full colour/grayscale per artist, but you are welcome to provide more pending organizer approval.Writers
To apply: must submit a minimum 1500 words, maximum 5000 words (can be cumulative across several stories) that features Sett and/or Aphelios
If you are accepted: minimum one 200-2000 word count short story per writer, but you are welcome to provide more pending organizer approval.Treats/Merch Contributor
To apply: these contributors will make digital goodies like emojis, stickers, profile pictures, twitter banners etc., but we are also opening applications for physical merch makers as well (enamel pings, bookmarks, standees, etc). You must submit a minimum of 3 examples of previous relevant work, Sett and/or Aphelios content is preferred but not mandatory.If you are accepted: upper limits will be dependent on physical production costs, but please expect to create minimum one physical merchandise item and/or minimum two digital goodies.Art/Design Mods:
We are looking for individuals with some experience to provide support to a head Art and Design Mod as part of a small team. Prior experience modding, as well as with vector images and Canva/inDesign are an asset, but not necessarily mandatory depending on your other qualifications.
